The on-off button this box works. I do not see any reset buton
it. And your recommendation is good: once it seemed the system
consisting of incoming cable box cable between computer and box
and computer, seemed to become disarranged. I list the parts
because I do not know what/where went wrong. I let the cable box
rest a bit by turning the button to "off", which means, I think,
the box no longer passes packets. I may, I am not sure even have
unplugged some cable box at some point in order to reset
something, but I do remember that I have never had any Cable Net
Connect problems that could not solved by such moves. And
certainly, even though I use several cable boxes at various
places, the total rate of system dis-arrangement is not one very
six months.
So I repeat your recommendation: turn the cable box entirely off.
Turn the computer off. Wait several minutes. Turn cable box on,
turn computer on, boot up. Look for a piece of the DHCP stack
running, sometimes there is something called "pump" running,
sometimes there is something else.
