[nylug-talk] road-runner + linuxOnly + wireless AP

I'll give this a try. What I really want to do is place a wireless AP
between the cable-modem and my linux notebook. My linux notebook works fine
wireless with other APs. I wanted to be sure that the cable modem was
working at my friend's before buying another wireless AP. If my linux box
is not able to get an IP from the cable modem, I'm afraid that a wireless AP
router won't be able to either.
May just go out and buy a Linksys wireless AP and give it a try.
