[nylug-talk] Video Cards....

It's a shame, isn't it?

Looking at Newegg as an example, there are the two obvious ones - NVidia and 
ATI.  Then there are Ageia, SiS, and XGI.  Ageia makes those PhysX cards, so 
not a real video card, but added processing power.  XGI released open source 
drivers [1], but I don't know the quality of the drivers or the cards.  Now I 
can't tell, but doesn't it look like SiS's drivers for linux [2] are the open 
source drivers?  It seems so, but I don't know if that means they recommend 
the open source ones, or if they have contributed drivers.

I think contacting XGI is a worthwhile effort, I'm going to test that route... 
I'll post up what I find out.
