[nylug-talk] interesting class

A summer class that may be of interest to the list:

"Advanced Programming in the UNIX Environment", an upper level
C-language course taught by the professor who also runs the NetBSD,
Linux and Mac labs at Stevens (in Hoboken - 4 stops on the PATH subway
from midtown).

I am taking the class and I took his Systems Administration class last
semester and found it excellent - rigorous, interesting projects,
academic and practical...

This class promises more of the same.

Here is a pdf which describes the class a bit and contains a link with
alot more info:

A full class description here:

Though the description describes the OS as "UNIX", Stevens is very
Linux-friendly. I use a Gentoo laptop for my projects (ie in the
sysadmin class). The network the class uses has NetBSD and Debian
clients.

Cheers,
