[nylug-talk] Popularity of Programming Languages

The older languages are really coming back. I saw an article about some
companies paying people to go to school to learn COBOL and then they
guaranteed them a very high salary to come program on the mainframes. All
that was taught when I was in school (about 3 years ago) was Java. But once
i got into the programming world, I was suprised on how much use my one
semester of C was getting on an everyday basis.
