If he's a real hard core Yankees fan he buys one. They are really cheap.
I use a cable box - canopus capture box - firewire - computer setup 
here, but that is kind of pricey because of the canopus box. But there 
are devices (USB) for less than $50 available.

If he's a real hard core Yankees fan he'll be happy with 320x240 at 15fps. 
Better than nothing.

Highly unlikely. You can password protect that stream, nobody will ever 
find out you rebroadcast that program.
