[nylug-talk] Streaming AM radio

Arrrrrrr! Well, that wasn't too bad. Note to developers: if you lay
out your .conf file nicely and have good comments in it, nobody will
have to read your crappy half-done documentation that you didn't want
to write anyway.
I went with Ices instead of DarkIce, just because it was in the same
place. No major problems, and only a couple of minor technical
glitches, like forgetting that the desktop in the other room was still
attached to the stream when I plugged the radio in, so five (buffered)
seconds later I had to sprint over because the speakers were blasting
sonic death at 140 dB. Good times.

I didn't go quite so ghetto. RCA->mini->soundcard. :-) Gotta preserve
the sound quality, you know. *cough*

Considered that briefly, but:
a) I don't have a TV card.
b) How much bandwidth do I need to stream 1080i?
c) I'd surely be arrested.
Really though, it's only 'a' slowing me down. :-D
Guess who! It's 10 o'clock, do you care where your parents are?
