Yeah, but you never know... You may want to use those gas pipes for
lighting again someday... Not good if they are clogged with cables. :)

That cloth wrapped wire is the "modern stuff". A friend of mine has a
old place upstate and it's still wired with the old "knob and tube"
wiring.
