  convert VxWorks-based LinkSys wireless WRT54G routers to Linux. The
  process does not require hardware hacking, and installs a recent
  version of "DD-WRT micro."

Keep in mind what you really want now is the WRT54GL <-- "L", that's the
unit with the Linux inside, and consequently, the larger available
resources for a firmware image of your choice to use.
