Folks,

I'm trying to use the anonftpsync script in order to maintain a local mirror
of the i386-arch of the Debian repository. When I run the actual script, (in
this case as root) I keep getting these errors:

building file list ... rsync: link_stat "/root/#" failed: No such file or
directory (2)
rsync: link_stat "/root/#" failed: No such file or directory (2)
rsync: link_stat "/root/#" failed: No such file or directory (2)
rsync: link_stat "/root/ftp.us.debian.org::debian//pool/." failed: No such
file or directory (2)
done

sent 59 bytes received 20 bytes 158.00 bytes/sec
total size is 3942 speedup is 49.90
rsync error: some files could not be transferred (code 23) at main.c(789)
ERROR: Help, something weird happened
mirroring /pool exited with exitcode 23

>From what I've been reading on the net the script seems to be entering
/root/# and /root/ftp.us.debian.org as the [USER@]HOST portion of the
command line. I'm assuming that these errors are stemming from "
ftp.us.debian.org" replying that there isn't a user "root" that will respond
to these commands.

If that's the case, then which user should I be using? Any ideas?

Regards,

Mark
