Hello -

>From work, I am familiar with NetBSD and pkgsrc. There is a command
'audit-packages' which deals with security advisories and will let you
know if any vulnerabilities have been reported.

A few months ago I put gentoo on my laptop and it has been good so
far. I found a tool in the gentoolkit called glsa-check which does a
similar thing for gentoo portage packages. It is easy to work with.

Are there other auditing tools that are recommended? I dont know much
about this subject and imagine there are. I found some info on one
called Rhino9; and also a a bit about network tools like SATAN and
SAINT.

Curious about what others use and like....

Cheers,
