I have some time off tomorrow -- would it be helpful if I went to barnes 
& noble to quickly review some of the available Python books for this 
list? Or should we be looking primarily at freely available texts on the 
'net?

In either case, what sorts of things are we looking for? Ruben already 
expressed interest in a starts-from-the-beginning text, which seems like 
a good idea if we want to include inexperienced folks as well. Other 
thoughts?
