Maybe there's a geek on here who knows A Guy, but I won't hold my 
breath.  My initial reaction was "not likely."  Here's everything I 
know:

"Do you know anything about retrieving information from a cell phone 
SIMM card?"
"What kind of information?"  *
"Contact phone #"
"Phone's dead?"
"SIMM card fried"
"Says who?"
"Authorized dealer said.  Burn mark on card."

Sounds dead, but I hate hardware.  :-)
