That may be the original meaning, but I think many IT directors think of 
it as any product where the salespeople provide gifts to people who make 
purchase decisions.

It can also be any product made by a company that has big marketing 
budgets. Anything made by M$ is "Enterprise", Linux is not. This is how 
I've been told by IT management at one company.
