Usually the motivation is Money. Most people see M$rosoft everywhere in
the work place, hence they assume M$rosoft skills equal Money somewhere
down the road.

I'd been banging a keyboard 15 years before I knew Red Hat existed.
(Er, that would be the Radio Shack, Commodore64 period).
(Er, between Pterodactyls and Neanderthal Man).
