The less Non-GPL'd close sourced software that I have to oversee the better.
Besides, I have every intention to see how much Oracle I can phase out and
use MySQL or Postgres.

The problem is yum doesnt seem to want to install itself during the initial
OS install.

I have to agree but only because the circumstances that Linux is in
nowadays.
Part of the intention with GPL'd software was its OS flavor neutrality,
unfortunately that doesnt seem to be the case anymore. However, Suse seems
to take to compiling source code very well, RedHat doesnt seem to want to
cooperate I want to compile something from source.

Lastly and most importantly is I will certainly not run anything with PHP on
my machines.
