Assuming your /etc/apt/sources.list is correct (it should be after a 
standard installation) all you need to do is:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade 

or, possibly

sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

This will take care of all upgraded packages, not just firefox.
