We should probably carry this on over on the volunteers list, but
anyway... all help is greatly appreciated. There's been a lot of
interest expressed in getting videos of the meetings, and also in
streaming audio or audio and video of the meeting, live. We need to see
what can realistically be done with what's available to us.
Whatever we do, I think simplicity is important. The podium at IBM has
some interesting features, but I don't know what I'm looking at. The
nice woman at IBM who sees to it that the room is ready for us would be
happy to show you and Christopher (our other volunteer who also won't be
able to attend Aug 30) what it's supposed to do. We might as well
bootstrap off the facilities that come with the room. Monjay has an
increasingly sophisticated AV kit, but it was expensive for her to haul
it around, and it got to be a bit too much for even her once she moved
to New Jersey. Somehow we need to do these things without needing an
hour of setup time and a cab to carry it all around.
So, we're still looking for someone to video next Wednesday, if anyone's
interested, and as my grandmother used to say, many hands make light work.
