[nylug-talk] multi-headed and Linux in data center

We have an application that requires alot of X Windows
real estate....and we're finding our old sparcstations
make us nervous....so....my boss said we could do Linux
for these X terms.
So, I need to drive at least 2 screens each on 2 PCs
or maybe 3 or 4 on one PC. (note, I mean a single user)
I was wondering if anyone has implemented this recently?
I have seen a couple of How-Tos but they are a couple
years old, and we'll be doing this with new hardware.
I saw one note that mentioned a card that's not SMP-safe
(not sure it matters, but good to be aware of).
Ideally, we would drive existing analog monitors with a
mix of 13W3 and HD15, though we have alot of adaptors.
My plan is to use Debian. The server(s) will be Compaq/HP,
no other options.
Thanks
Seth
