  • Maintaining, as well as implementing RedHat and Sun Solaris systems
  • You will be monitoring UNIX/Linux systems for performance and
    availability.
  • Perform operating system,hardware, security and application
    updates/patches on these systems
  • Assist in maintain and managing enterprise tape backup and recovery,
    ensuring the data integrity process is maintained
  • Working with the business side to identify solutions applicable to
    the business needs.
  • Assist in performing routine capacity planning, generate utilization
    and performance reports, and maintain documentation
  • Resposible for Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning
    and testing.
  • Respond to tickets through a ticketing system.

* Required Skills:
  • 2+ Years working with:
    • Enterprise level RedHat Linux
    • Solaris on Enterprise class Sun hardware
  • Knowledge with Windows 2000/20003 Enterprise Server
  • TCP/IP, Fibre Channel, FCIP, iFCP, etc.
  • Experience working with Veritas Netbackup
  • Performance tuning and capacity planning fundamentals
  • Basic shell and Perl scripting
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
