# Required Skills: Infrastructure Manager

  Responsibilities:
  • Manage Infrastructure team (systems administration and office IT)
  • Manage and administer Linux-based servers
  • Manage vendor, sourcing and other technical relationships
  • Manage infrastructure costs eg. desktops, servers, networking,
    storage, colocation
  • Oversee monitoring and reporting activities
  • Ensure compliance with response and escalation procedures to provide
    high quality of service

  • Passion for media sharing a must; detailed knowledge of video
    technologies a plus

  Qualifications/Experience:
  • 5-8 years of experience managing systems for high traffic web sites
  • 5+ years of hands-on Linux administration in mission critical
    environments
  • Required Networking skills: TCP/IP, Network hardware configuration
    (switches, routers, load balancers, firewalls, bridges), Ethernet
  • Required familiarity with: HTTP, Internet routing, Apache, NFS,
    bash, virtualization technologies (VMWare or Xen)
  • Experience working in a rapid development environment
  • Ability to manage IT desktop support activities (OSX and Windows)
  • Knowledge of CSS, Ruby on Rails, Mongrel, Perl, F5 Big-IP, CDNs are
    a plus
